About Us

Built by a Parent, for Families

How a mother’s search for her own sons became a sanctuary for families across Qatar

Our journey began with a mother’s devotion and a promise to never give up. When our founder, Mariam Al Rashdi, received her eldest son Karim's diagnosis of Autism, she set out to find a trustworthy, highly structured environment where he could be safely cared for and supported to develop his unique abilities. Despite traveling extensively and exploring care models across the globe, she struggled to find an environment that truly felt safe and specialized enough to handle complex behavioral and sensory profiles.

Unwilling to settle, Mariam decided to build a dedicated, low-ratio program herself. When her second son, Omar, was also diagnosed with Autism, her personal mission grew into a lifelong calling: to establish a sanctuary in Qatar where every individual is deeply valued, appreciated, and loved.

In 2015, she officially opened the doors to the Ontario Center, naming it in honour of the Canadian province where Karim spoke his very first words.

What began as a mother's search for her own children has grown over the past decade into a true "home away from home".

Today, we stand as a consistent partner for families across Qatar, providing continuous, compassionate care from early childhood through the transition into adult life.
